There will be an outpouring of the Holy Spirit that cannot be missed. Revival of the spirit, mind, body and soul giving you what you need to run this race and continue on in Christ. Come and be refreshed and renewed. God has plans for us and we are in great expectation of everything He has in store!
Rev. Emmett Joseph Neal, Sr., was born on November 18th, 1975 in San Francisco, California. He is the 1st of 2 children born to Mr. and Mrs. John Addison & Dorothy Marie Neal. Rev. Neal was educated in San Francisco and graduated from Mission High School. While at Mission High, Rev. Neal was Student Body President during his Senior Year and he was Co-Captain of the Boy’s Varsity Basketball Team that won the City Championship three consecutive years (91,92,93.) Rev. Neal was baptized on September 13th 1987, and received his early bible training from the late Rev. J. P. Prior, who was the Pastor at the Saint John Missionary Baptist Church in San Francisco.
Rev. Neal answered the call to preach the gospel at the beginning of his junior year in high school at the age of 15. On Sunday, October 6th, 1991, he preached his first sermon. On Sunday, November 24th, 1991 he received his Minister’s License. Rev. Neal was ordained into the gospel ministry by Rev. Ray Howard on Sunday, June 28th, 1998, at the Paradise Missionary Baptist Church of San Francisco, California. Rev. Neal served as Pastor of the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in San Francisco from 1999 to 2002. Currently, Rev. Neal is the proud Pastor of the Historic Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of San Francisco.
Pastor Neal is a Distinguished and Dignified Man of God!! Pastor Neal has accomplished so much in his 9 years of being the Undershepherd at Macedonia. One of his most crowning accomplishments at Macedonia was the completion of the Seismic Retrofit and ADA Compliance Building Project that began in 2003 and was completed in 2009. The completion of the Project satisfied San Francisco’s Building Code that was required when Macedonia experienced devastation as a result of the Loma Prieta Earthquake of 1989. Pastor Neal also organized a Boy’s Residential Restoration Home in 2007 at Macedonia’s Parsonage Property in San Francisco.
Pastor Neal resides in San Francisco with his three children, a daughter Jonnay Marie, 15, and two sons, Emmett, Jr. (11) & Julian (9).
Pastor Neal holds two Academic Degrees, a Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University and he has been a Social Worker for the City & County of San Francisco for the last 12 years.
Pastor Neal credits much of his success to the spiritual teaching and training his grandfather, the late Deacon Jesse W. Neal taught him at a young age while growing up in San Francisco. Both his grandfather and his grandmother, the late Sister Juanita N. Neal, who were both long time members of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in San Francisco, carried Pastor Neal to Church, District Associations, State and National Congresses and Conventions. And because of their efforts, Pastor Neal has a strong spiritual foundation and he is a strong Pastor of God’s people.
